COMPANY DANCER REGISTRATION

LOCATION UPDATE:

GCDC has purchased a building in Cecil Township that is currently undergoing renovations, including a new parking lot. While construction and municipal approvals are progressing well, it is unlikely that we will receive our occupancy permit by the start of the September 2026 season. We expect to begin the season at our current location and move to our new facility as soon as it is ready.

The form below is for dancers that are taking Monday or Tuesday Company classes in addition to any Studio classes (Acro-dance, Ballet, or Contemporary). New students, please make sure you understand all of the Company requirements and contact us for a class assignment before registering.
Steps to securing your dancer’s spot in Company classes and any additional Studio classes:
  1. Fill out the Registration Form and Waiver below and click submit.
  2. Pay the registration fee.
All Company families are required to pay an annual registration fee which includes the annual Company t-shirt.  You will need to pay the registration fee as soon as possible to guarantee your dancer’s spot in class. The registration fee is non-refundable.
    • $45 ($40 cash/check) first dancer. $20 for every additional sibling.
    • It is our recommendation that dancers requesting a spot in Acro Primary and Ballet 2a pay the registration fee online immediately after registering. If an Acro Primary/Level 1 class is full, it’s a good idea to add your name to the waitlist. Current dancers may test out of that level at the end of any month (including during the summer), which could open up a spot.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email listing the classes in which your dancer has secured a spot.

Registration is not complete, and your dancer’s spot is not secured, until the registration fee is paid. How will you be making payment?

Read the following seven items of the COMPANY CONTRACT carefully before agreeing.

ARRIVAL/PICK-UP PROTOCOL: Dancers may not be dropped off more than 15 minutes before their own class begins. This includes siblings and applies even when a different sibling has an earlier class. Students should be picked up within 10 minutes after their final scheduled class. If a student has multiple classes in one evening and a wait in between those, they are expected to stay quietly occupied and respectful of others. If a dancer is unable to do so, a parent will be required to remain on-site during the break. *
ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS: Company dancers are committed to attending regularly and being punctual. Ideally, your child will only miss 1-2 classes for the entire year. Missing two classes in a row, or any absence in the months of January – April, will require a private lesson before your child’s next class. Private lessons are $5 each and are given by a teen dancer.
PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS: Company dancers are to be prepared for class each week, having practiced at home using videos and music on their portal. While we expect very little from our Pre-Company and Adore, our expectation for preparedness increases with age. (Note that outside practice is encouraged but not required in our Studio classes. BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR COMPANY, please determine if our Studio Expectations are more in line with your family dynamic.) *
SPRING SHOW PARTICIPATION: In order to participate in the Spring Show, dancers must attend all mandatory rehearsals in their entirety. Until the show date and rehearsals have been secured, please keep your spring schedule flexible. Please do not schedule any vacations in April. All tuition and fees must be paid in full. *
SPRING PRODUCTION COSTUMES: We understand that modesty standards can differ from family to family. As a heads up, please note that your dancer’s group may be assigned a costume with cami straps (it will not show cleavage). If this is concerning to you, consider signing up for one of the Studio classes instead. The May Showcase costumes will have, at minimum, a tank or short sleeve leotard as part of the costume.
DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS: Dancers are to attend classes in the full uniform that is designated for the current season. Uniforms are available for rent if a piece is forgotten. Hair is to be secured off of the face and neck. Dancers need to bring slippers from home to wear over their dance shoes while in the studio (except for on the dance floor or mats). Dance shoes and slippers are never to be worn outside. For the Spring Show, dancers must abide by the dress code set for their group. Hair is to be a natural color. Until the hairstyle is announced, please avoid short haircuts. Because all jewelry is to be removed, please avoid first-time ear piercing around showtime. *
COMPLETING THE DANCE SEASON: By registering your dancer, you are committing to finishing the dance season for ALL CLASSES you are marking on your registration form above. If you do drop out of any class and would like to register for that class in a future season, you will be required to pay the entire year’s class fee up front (non-refundable) to secure your spot. *

GCDC WAIVER, September 2026-August 2027. Any questions should be directed to Danielle Black prior to registration.

Do you verify that you are the parent or legal guardian of the children listed above?
