Recreational dance classes provide dancers with the opportunity to explore movement in a fun, less structured environment than all of our other classes. Students are introduced to a variety of dance styles at an introductory level, focusing on exploration and creative movement rather than perfecting technique. Classes incorporate worship elements such as tambourines and ribbons and include practicing of a scripture memory verse.
The Fall Session focuses on basic ballet technique, while the Spring Session emphasizes basic jazz technique and concludes with a performance in the Studio Showcase.
REGISTRATION: Dancers register according to their age by the first class in each session. Registration closes the first week in October for the Fall Session and the first week in February for the Spring Session.
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY: Studio Showcase (Spring Session dancers only)
